Bit of a Blizzard

I have never experienced snow like this before. It was incredible and beautiful.

Until we lost power (and therefore, water, because we live in the country and have a well and pump), and then it became irritating.

But now we have power again and I am warm. And hydrated. I can enjoy the incredible beauty of winter.

I call this one "Longing For Summer." Or maybe just "Irony."

When the sky cleared the next day, the snow against the stark blue was absolutely breathtaking.

And I loved the contrast of the dark branches and glistening snow in the woods.

And the thousands of icicles on the pine branches.
